About this grant

The project goal is to support a healthy policy environment for the nonprofit and philanthropy sector. The Regulation of Nonprofits and Philanthropy project at the Urban Institute is a vehicle to develop, promote and disseminate research on the federal-state regulatory framework and its impact on nonprofits. The project also serves as a platform for ongoing dialogue about ways to improve the regulatory framework. The project is implemented by the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute — a think tank that builds knowledge about the nation’s social and fiscal challenges.
