About this grant
SITAWI Finance for Good is a Brazilian nonprofit organization established in 2008 to mobilize research and capital for positive environmental and social outcomes. During the previous grant period, the grantee strengthened community capacities to monitor and discuss social and environmental safeguards for oil and gas activities in the Medio Juruá River basin in the Brazilian Amazon. With this grant renewal, SITAWI Finance for Good will continue to support communities by building their capacity to respond to oil and gas exploration proposals and other threats such as climate change.
