Innovative Financing for Local Agrisolar Entrepreneurs - Uganda

About this grant

Since 2017, The Innovation Village Hub, a local nonprofit in Uganda, has been supporting youth entrepreneurship development in Uganda to benefit local communities and the environment. With previous support, the grantee has strengthened the capacity of 80 solar entrepreneurs through the provision of business advisory financial and technical assistance services. With this grant, the Innovation Village Hub will: 1) consolidate these achievements by supporting agrisolar entrepreneurs to scale up their operations in more rural off-grid communities; 2) establish three agrisolar hubs to serve as a one-stop-shop solution for rural farmer training and technical support; and 3) work with local financial institutions to expand financial services for agrisolar entrepreneurs and farmers.
