Expanding Educational Opportunities in Michigan

About this grant

The Michigan Afterschool Partnership will seek to continue a public-private partnership initiative to advance afterschool programming for Michigan’s youth and families. The overall goal of this initiative is to ensure that all Michigan youth have access to quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities. Specifically, this initiative will continue to seek to: 1) build needed capacity at the state level in Michigan; 2) implement quality standards and training; 3) develop communications initiatives; 4) coordinate a new statewide afterschool committee of key stakeholders; and 5) conduct program evaluation to ensure that young people have access to the afterschool programs they need moving forward.
