Building and Strengthening Civic Infrastructure

About this grant

The program goal is to build and strengthen civic infrastructure in the U.S. To this end, the University of Virginia’s Karsh Institute of Democracy will equip leaders and citizens with the skills, knowledge and relationships needed to rebuild the civic fabric in their local communities. During the grant period, the institute will organize two national convenings of civic leaders. These gatherings will provide a platform for a diverse group of civic leaders, practitioners and community foundations from across the country to come together to share learning and joint action.
