About this grant
This grant increase will support the University of Southern Maine which coordinates the Maine Statewide Afterschool Network to leverage opportunities to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. With this increase and extension, the grantee will continue to: 1) develop outreach strategies to amplify youth and community voice that center around the benefits of afterschool and feature afterschool programs; 2) convene youth, families, service providers, policymakers, and community leaders to elevate the importance and need of afterschool; and 3) update its database of youth-serving organizations to enhance collaboration and resource sharing.
