About this grant
The goal of this project is to support organized civil society participation to increase peace, inclusion and access to justice globally. The Transparency, Accountability, and Participation Network — a project of Accountability Lab, Inc. — will mobilize its membership of over 270 civil society organizations for coordinated action around implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, with its focus on peaceful, just and inclusive societies. During this grant period, work will focus on: 1) mobilizing, engaging and building capacity of civil society partners to foster a global network focused on advancing SDG 16; 2) building civil society capacity to evaluate SDG 16 implementation; and 3) sharing and learning to develop knowledge, practice and public understanding around efforts to promote peaceful, just and inclusive societies. This increase will support costs of a special side event on financing for justice to be held during the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in Sevilla, Spain as well as participation of TAP regional partners in activities around the UN General Assembly and World Social Forum.
