Increasing Food Distribution

About this grant

This grant will provide grant dollars to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to purchase protein-rich foods, which will supplement the produce and shelf-stable foods it supplies to local feeding programs and food pantries. This one-time emergency grant addresses the rising demand for programs that combat food insecurity, supporting low-income residents of Flint and Genesee County as they face higher food prices, changes in federal funding priorities and ongoing economic uncertainty.
