Sachs is a founding justice of South Africa's Constitutional Court and co-author of that country's post-apartheid constitution.

LA’s BEST — a long-running afterschool program serving 28,000 students in grades K-6 at 186 sites in Los Angeles — depends upon a network of partnerships to keep its curriculum quality high and engaging for children and families living in neighborhoods most vulnerable to gangs, drugs and crime.

Staff from the CASA Socio-Environment Fund, a Mott grantee, attended the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) in Brazil.
