Chris Stallworth began his professional career as a machinist for Robert Bosch LLC in Kentwood, Michigan. It turned out to be excellent experience for managing the workforce development and entrepreneurship grantmaking he now oversees for Mott’s Flint Area team. He took an educational hiatus from manufacturing to earn an associate degree in English and Literature from Grand Rapids Community College. While working full-time, he continued his education, transferring to Grand Valley State University to finish up his bachelor’s degree in political science. He kept going, earning a master’s degree in public administration from Grand Valley. In 2011, Stallworth made a career switch, taking a position as a program coordinator with the Council of Michigan Foundations in Grand Haven. The Ohio native joined the staff of the Mott Foundation in 2013.
