About

Dana Linnane is the foundation liaison within the nonpartisan Michigan Governor’s Office of Foundation Liaison. As director of the OFL, she serves as a loaned executive to the Governor’s executive office and works collaboratively with policymakers, foundation leaders and the executive branch of state government to create better outcomes for children, families and residents across the state, particularly those most marginalized.

Linnane has spent much of her career working to advance policies that give children, families and communities increased access to opportunity. She most recently served as director of research and planning for OFL. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade as a policy and communications officer for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

Over the course of her career, Linnane has worked in various roles at numerous organizations in Michigan’s philanthropic and nonprofit sector, including the Ruth Mott Foundation, the Council of Michigan Foundations and the University of Michigan School of Art & Design.

Linnane earned bachelor’s degrees in communications and fine arts at the University of Michigan. She also has a master’s degree in public policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at U of M.
