Jeff Leonard

Jeff Leonard is a manager of investment operations at the Mott Foundation, where he supports the Foundation’s mission by strengthening the performance, governance and growth of our endowment operations.

Prior to joining Mott, Leonard served as vice president of operations and compliance at Benchmark Plus Management in Tacoma, Washington, where he led financial operations, reporting and control frameworks across complex financial structures. In this role, Leonard partnered closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to enhance data integrity, improve reporting processes and ensure audit and regulatory readiness.

Earlier in his career, Leonard held roles at BlackRock Alternative Advisors, supporting global investment operations, and at BNY Mellon and Columbia State Bank, where he focused on performance analytics, financial reporting and credit analysis.

Leonard earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Washington.
