Before joining the staff of the Mott Foundation’s Investment Office in 2014, Kelly Swoszowski wasn’t all that familiar with the field of philanthropy, but she really enjoys working for an institution that is dedicated to making the world a better place. “I think it’s wonderful that we contribute to helping our young children advance in this life, providing opportunities they might not have had if the Foundation was not in place,” she said. A Michigan native, she attended Oakland Community College before taking a job with McCann Erickson, a global advertising agency with an office in Birmingham, Michigan. She enjoys working with personnel in the Foundation’s Troy and Flint offices, and loves the diversity of her job duties. Swoszowski is married with one daughter, who has convinced her parents that Disney World is the best possible vacation destination in the country.
