About

Seamus Bannon is a program officer and special projects coordinator with the Mott Foundation’s Flint Area team. He supports strategic initiatives between the Foundation and the city of Flint, managing and implementing projects focused on public spaces, infrastructure and community development.

Previously, Bannon worked in a variety of roles at the city of Flint, including community liaison in the mayor’s office, chief strategy officer, and — most recently — interim director of business and community services for planning and development.

A native of Ireland, Bannon earned a bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Technology, Sligo, and a master’s degree in strategic studies from University College Cork.

Bannon is a proud resident of Flint, where he and his wife, Sarah, raise their four young children. In his spare time, Bannon serves as the head coach of the Detroit Tradesmen rugby club and enjoys golf.
