About this grant
Freshwater Future serves a vital role as an intermediary between large organizations and smaller, grassroots groups. The grantee catalyzes action to strengthen policies to safeguard the Great Lakes by providing a small grants program, consulting services, and capacity building support. With prior support, the grantee has provided support to over 2,000 community groups, addressing local challenges and elevating voices to effect change on the state, provincial, or federal policy levels. This grant will allow the grantee to provide financial and capacity support to groups and also continue its focus on securing safe, affordable drinking water in our region’s cities as a top priority.
