About this grant
River Network is a national environmental organization that provides technical assistance to help its 2,000 members protect freshwater resources at the state, regional, and local levels. With prior Mott support, the grantee conducted a regional scan to identify areas of the Great Lakes Basin where increased on-the-ground capacity is needed. The results of this study helped the grantee develop new strategies to provide watershed groups with technical assistance to address drinking water safety concerns. Over the next two years, the grantee will build out its new drinking water technical support program while continuing to provide Great Lakes watershed groups with the tools, education, and access to peer networks that help them serve as effective champions for healthy rivers and sustainable communities.
