About this grant

Shelter of Flint, Inc., provides services for approximately 1,200 homeless clients per year. The vast majority of these clients are families who are homeless primarily due to economic circumstances. The principal goal of the agency is to assist these individuals and families in achieving stability through a continuum of care ranging from crisis prevention to elimination of the root causes of homelessness. The Shelter of Flint provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive and affordable housing for individuals and families in the Flint community on a daily basis. This grant increase will provide general purpose support for the agency to meet an increasing demand for emergency services.
