About this grant
The European Foundation Centre is an independent membership association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to promoting organized philanthropy in Europe and internationally. In 2013, the European Foundation Centre carried out a wide range of activities, including further developing the European Philanthropy House and organizing an Annual General Assembly and Conference in Copenhagen for May and a Euro Philantopics conference in Brussels in November. In 2014, the grantee will continue to focus on: 1) making the philanthropic sector’s voice heard in Europe; 2) boosting the professional skills of foundation staff and boards; 3) building networks for like-minded organizations; and 4) telling the story of European philanthropy. Established in 1989 by seven of Europe’s leading foundations, the European Foundation Centre today serves over 200 members.
