About this grant
The European Foundation Centre is an independent membership association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to promoting organized philanthropy in Europe and internationally. In 2014, the grantee carried out a wide range of activities, including organizing an Annual General Assembly and Conference in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and a Euro Philantopics conference in Brussels, Belgium. In 2015, the European Foundation Centre continues to focus on: 1) strengthening engagement with policies that shape and influence how foundations work in Europe; 2) advancing learning, sharing, and exploration of new ideas and opportunities for philanthropy; 3) building data and analysis on philanthropy; and 4) enhancing the visibility and understanding of philanthropy and foundations. Established in 1989 by seven of Europe’s leading foundations, the European Foundation Centre today serves over 200 members.
