About this grant
This grant provides continued general purposes support to BoardSource, an organization that provides governance training, information, and leadership opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the nation’s 1.6 million nonprofit agencies. In 2007 and 2008, BoardSource will continue to provide governance expertise in the public policy and legislative arenas, consulting services, research-driven and practical publications and tools, and training to thousands of nonprofit boards throughout the country. In addition, BoardSource continues implementation of a five-year business plan which centers on three strategic priorities: providing guidance to the sector on what constitutes good governance, disseminating resources that strengthen board performance, and extending the reach and impact of its work through national and regional partnerships.
