About this grant
This grant will provide Metro Community Development with general purpose support to carry out its mission to serve as a leader and catalyst to expand and enhance quality housing initiatives in Flint and Genesee County. The grantee provides an array of counseling and financial assistance services to low-income homebuyers, currently serves as the primary link between city and county governments and local housing organizations, and has performed the critical task of facilitating the creation of a five-year consolidated plan for housing, which is essential to acquiring state and federal grant dollars. General purpose funding will enable the grantee to continue to act as a resource and technical assistance provider, at no cost, to a steadily increasing number of organizations and individuals.
