About this grant
The Gulf Restoration Network is a diverse partnership of citizens and organizations committed to protecting and restoring the Gulf of Mexico’s coastal lands and waters, and the freshwater ecosystems linked to them. With previous support, the network has educated the public about critical gulf aquatic resources, monitored the actions of decisionmakers, and brought scientific and policy expertise to key protection efforts. With renewal support, the network will continue its efforts to restore coastal land areas, improve wetlands protection, and restore damaged water quality–all pressing needs in the aftermath of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. The network will also work to build its own organizational capacity.
