About this grant
Founded in 1970, as the Lake Michigan Federation, the Alliance for the Great Lakes seeks to conserve and restore the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem through policy reform, public education, and local conservation projects. With previous Mott support, the grantee engaged in policy discussions around aquatic invasive species and the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, delivered public education and outreach programs, and implemented organizational development strategies. This renewal grant will allow the grantee to continue these and similar efforts, while increasing efforts to address drinking water infrastructure issues across the basin.
