About this grant

As the number of new foundations grows, the Association of Small Foundations is playing an increasingly important role in drawing trustees of new foundations into a supportive network where they can receive high quality information on managing and administering their foundations. This grant will enable the association to continue providing technical assistance and information to its members, assisting them in becoming more effective grantmakers through conferences, seminars, mentoring programs, and production and distribution of guides, handbooks, primers and directories. The association, a national membership organization for trustee-operated foundations with few or no staff, is the largest philanthropy support organization in the country with 3,076 members and assets of $52 billion.
