About this grant
This grant provides general purposes support to Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, a grantmaker affinity group committed to expanding the participation and leadership of the diverse Asian-American community in the philanthropic sector. Founded in 1990, the organization has built a strong and growing regional infrastructure of grantmakers and community leaders. The grantee offers a wide range of services and programs to enhance and increase philanthropy by and for Asian Americans, including conference sessions, publications, technical assistance, research, networking, and information sharing. Goals for the upcoming year include membership and chapter building; leadership development opportunities at the chapter level and within the board; further development of a capacity-building initiative to support Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and Southern Asian organizations through small grants and technical assistance; and organizational development goals such as adding an office and increasing staff.
