About this grant
The Bretton Woods Project of ActionAid has been a key actor on international financial institution reform issues since it was established in 1995. It works with nongovernmental organizations, researchers, and officials to scrutinize and reform policies and practices of international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank Group. Over the last grant period, the grantee was successful in engaging with policymakers calling for a review of private sector investment policies at the World Bank Group and other development finance institutions. With this grant, the Bretton Woods Project will continue its work to strengthen civil society networks to advocate for reform of international financial institutions; support policy reform efforts to address environmental and social impacts; and ensure that governments of developing countries have more influence at the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund.
