About this grant

ActionAid’s Bretton Woods Project has been a key actor on international financial institution reform issues since it was established in 1995. It works with nongovernmental organizations, researchers, and officials to scrutinize and reform policies and practices of international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank Group. Over the last grant period, the project helped to ensure that strong climate change commitments were made by the World Bank Group and development outcomes for bank projects were strengthened. With this grant, the Bretton Woods Project will continue its work to strengthen civil society networks to: ensure that key climate change commitments are kept and strengthened; and provide an information platform that supports civil society organizations in the United Kingdom and developing countries to support policy reform efforts.
