About this grant
This grant supports the production and marketing coordination of a series of outdoor festivals and events that will be held in and around downtown Flint during the summer months. The Parade of Festivals was created in 1999 to enhance Flint’s image within the region and enliven the downtown area. The Greater Flint Arts Council, an organization dedicated to nurturing independent artists and arts organizations in the Flint area, manages the events. In 2013, the Parade of Festivals will include a diverse array of 21 events held between Memorial Day and mid-October.
