About this grant
The Greater Flint Arts Council is providing the leadership for a coalition of downtown Flint stakeholders aimed at improving the image of downtown Flint through increased participation in festivals and events from June through mid-October. A marketing and promotional campaign is designed to maximize the impact of established events and cultivate newer and smaller events in downtown Flint thereby attracting new audiences each year. The 2014 Parade of Festivals will include a lunchtime concert series at the new Farmers’ Market pavilion, and a line-up of 18 festivals including nine produced by smaller arts/cultural organizations.
