About this grant
This grant provides continued general purpose support to the Philanthropy Roundtable, a national association of over 550 foundations, families, individual philanthropists, corporate giving programs, and trust and estate officers. The grantee provides a variety of programs and services for grantmakers including a national conference, regional meetings, publication of "Philanthropy" magazine, thematic publications, and public policy work. The association also offers customized services for focused affinity groups in the areas of K-12 education, conservation, national security, higher education, and economic opportunity. The grantee’s two major goals for 2011 and 2012 are to: 1) preserve the freedom and philosophical diversity of the philanthropic sector; and 2) maintain consistently high standards for participation and content in its meetings and publications with a focus on breakthrough philanthropic strategies that offer solutions for America’s greatest problems.
