About this grant
The Eastern Cape NGO Coalition is one of the most effective networks of nongovernmental and community-based organizations in South Africa. It has developed a good working relationship with the Eastern Cape provincial government and is succeeding in organizing the nonprofit and community-based organizations in the Eastern Cape into a significant collective force. Many challenges still remain, including securing the longer-term sustainability of the coalition. This renewal grant will provide support to the coalition to continue to build and strengthen its membership, represent their interests, advocate on behalf of nongovernmental and community-based organizations in the Eastern Cape, and secure more stable sources of funding.
