About this grant

This grant provides general purpose support to Native Americans in Philanthropy, a grantmaker affinity group dedicated to improvement in all aspects of philanthropic activity related to Native-American people. The organization seeks to strengthen indigenous communities by increasing philanthropic investment in Native-American people and advancing the participation and leadership of Native Americans in the philanthropic sector. Recent past accomplishments include a significant increase in membership, regional gatherings on leadership and philanthropic partnerships, and demographic research on Native-American philanthropy. The current organizational focus includes leadership development, sharing lessons learned regarding investing in Native-American communities, and increased networking among Native-American communities in philanthropy.
