About this grant
This grant provides general purpose support to Native Americans in Philanthropy, a grantmaker affinity group dedicated to improvement in all aspects of philanthropic activity related to Native-American people. The organization seeks to strengthen indigenous communities by increasing philanthropic investment in Native-American communities and advancing the participation and leadership of Native Americans in the philanthropic sector. Recent past accomplishments include significant Web site enhancements, several regional convenings on leadership and philanthropic partnerships, and research on Native-American philanthropy demographics and asset mapping. The current organizational focus includes linking leadership programs nationally, increasing research and communication efforts, and increasing networking among Native-American communities in philanthropy.
