Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce

About this grant

Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce, a program of the Finance Project, is an affinity group of funders who are broadly interested in the social and economic conditions that generate and perpetuate poverty. Its mission is to broaden funders’ perspectives on critical issues, deepen their understanding of issues in which they are already active, and promote strategic, collaborative grantmaking. The Mott Foundation has been active in this affinity group since its inception six years ago. During the renewal grant period, the group will continue to assist foundation staff in better understanding income security issues and the status of and/or impact of policies and programs designed to address those issues. This work will be accomplished through a series of self-selected working groups, quarterly meetings, special projects, and information-sharing efforts including development and maintenance of a funders’ listserv.
