About this grant

The Land Trust Alliance builds the capacity of local and regional land trusts to partner with private landowners, local governments, and federal agencies to protect natural ecosystems. With prior Mott support, the alliance has provided guidance, mentoring, and targeted grant awards and technical assistance to land trusts in support of their freshwater conservation work. With continued Mott support, the alliance will increase the pace and quality of land conservation activities in priority freshwater ecosystems, while advancing strategic conservation planning for land trusts working to protect and restore rivers, lakes, and wetlands in the Great Lakes basin and southeastern United States.
