About this grant
Formed in 1982, the Land Trust Alliance is a national conservation organization that helps build the capacity of individual land trusts while also representing land trust interests at the federal level. With prior Mott support, the grantee has helped many land trusts in the Great Lakes Basin better protect land that is connected to freshwater resources. With prior Mott support, the grantee provided technical assistance and regrants aimed at building the organizational capacity of its members in the Great Lakes region. With renewed support, the grantee will continue to look for opportunities to promote land conservation strategies that provide significant freshwater benefits. The grantee will also work with local organizations to support specific conservation projects and help members develop land stewardship strategies to build resiliency for a changing climate.
