About this grant
The negotiation process for relicensing 13 large hydroelectric dams on the Catawba-Wateree river system in North and South Carolina is nearing completion. This grant will enable the coalition to participate in the final stages of the relicensing process and potentially support monitoring of the initial implementation of a newly granted license.Prior funding to the Catawba-Wateree Relicensing Coalition supported efforts to promote the adoption of a collaborative approach to the relicensing process, conduct public education and outreach efforts, and directly participate in the relicensing process.
