About this grant

Georgia contains some of the most biologically rich waters in the continental United States, providing immeasurable economic, community, and aesthetic benefits. With previous support, the Georgia River Network, a state leader in river conservation and restoration efforts, has promoted new beneficial river policies, assisted citizens with organizing watershed groups and helped to build those groups’ capacity to protect and restore rivers, and strengthened its own institutional capabilities. Renewal support will enable the network to continue to coordinate statewide partnerships and promote sound policies, increase its outreach to new watershed groups, and work to build the organization’s financial and operational strength.
