About this grant
Grantmakers for Effective Organizations is a diverse community of 546 grantmakers representing more than 5,000 individuals that provides grantmakers with resources and connections to build knowledge and improve practice in areas that are most critical to nonprofit success. It does this by organizing conferences and peer-learning programs, producing original publications, and providing networking tools to connect members. Last year, the grantee continued to support grantmakers with multiple peer-to-peer learning activities including two conferences, three senior leader convenings, four member conference calls, four Webinars, and five new publications on topics such as foundation culture, collaboration, and strengthening nonprofit capacity. It also launched its Change Incubator, an 18-month intensive program for a small set of foundation staff. In addition to continuing this work in 2016-2017, the grantee will conduct human-centered design workshops and form an Equity and Effectiveness Advisory Group to develop programming on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
