About this grant
This grant will provide general purpose funding to Focus: HOPE to deliver an array of comprehensive workforce training, adult education, social supports, childcare, and food distribution services to low-income residents in Detroit. For 45 years, Focus: HOPE has been one of the country’s most effective antipoverty and civil rights organizations. Its unique mission is to help individuals acquire the skills necessary to gain and maintain successful employment, career advancement, and access to the economic mainstream. This renewal grant will help the grantee implement a comprehensive plan to address the issues confronting the neighborhoods in the immediate area surrounding its campus, as well as leverage support from other foundations, businesses, and public-sector supporters to sustain its core activities.
