About this grant
FERN’s work aims to integrate environmental and social considerations into the decisionmaking and operations of European export credit agencies. During the grant period, FERN will focus its work on the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s review of its guidelines addressing export credit agencies’ environmental impacts. In addition, FERN will monitor and keep European Union officials informed of key projects funded or being considered by European export credit agencies that are not coherent with European Union environmental, social and human rights policies. FERN also will begin discussions among European organizations working on export credit agency reform to consider recent macroeconomic changes that impact international investment flows and the policies regulating those investments.
