About this grant

The purpose of this grant renewal to Public/Private Ventures is to continue a random assignment evaluation and provide technical assistance to three sectoral training initiatives: the Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership in Milwaukee, Per Scholas in the Bronx, and Jewish Vocational Services of Boston. Past studies of sectoral employment programs funded by the Foundation have illustrated employment success, job retention, and increased earnings. The primary purpose of this study, if successful, is to influence public policy by specifically proving the effectiveness of sectoral training on increased earnings and job retention.
