About this grant
This grant will enable the MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership to provide national mentoring guidelines for programs, including afterschool programs across the country. Through MentorPRO – a computer-based system used to track, collect and analyze information – MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership will emphasize accountability and empower mentor programs to track their adherence to promising practices. This work will build on the Elements of Effective Practices toolkit, which provides specific guidelines to programs. Emphasis will be placed on addressing the needs of immigrant youth, reaching hard-to-reach youth, and ensuring that programs address multicultural differences between youth and adults.
