About this grant

The program goal is to strengthen the nonprofit sector in Northwest Russia. The Saint-Petersburg NGO Development Centre will focus on three key areas of activity. First, it will provide ongoing consulting and training as well as partnership development support for registered organizations and unregistered initiative groups. Second, it will continue to promote philanthropy and corporate social responsibility through its Kind Peter community foundation and festival. Finally, it will work to strengthen its own internal management and governance. In 2011-2013, the Kind Peter charitable giving campaign more than tripled the value of funds raised to over $700,000 in cash and in-kind contributions for community charitable initiatives. In the same period, the grantee led over 100 capacity building events, involving more than 4,000 participants. Established in 1994, the Saint-Petersburg NGO Development Centre is one of the leading support organizations contributing to the growth of the nonprofit sector and philanthropy in Russia.
