About this grant

Since adoption of the Great Lakes Compact in late 2008, Environmental Advocates of New York has been working to help implement the interstate agreement in New York state. With this grant increase and associated grant period extension, the advocates will continue to participate in the development of state rules pertaining to the compact. The organization also will engage in public communication activities aimed at educating policymakers about Great Lakes issues and securing new public funding for Great Lakes restoration.
