About this grant
This grant will provide partial support to the Community Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment to continue to implement an initiative to provide universal access to college preparatory courses for south Los Angeles high schools. This project is intended to reduce dropout rates, improve college preparedness, and boost college attendance. In addition, this grant will enable the organization to participate in the Foundation’s eight-site study to explore the contribution of education organizing to education reform efforts in low-performing districts and schools.
