About this grant

This grant will provide continued support to the United Way of Genesee County for the Building Excellence, Sustainability and Trust Nonprofit Capacity Building project, which is an initiative designed to build the capacity of Genesee County nonprofit organizations to meet the ever-increasing needs of their clients and the community. During this grant period, 12 nonprofit organizations will be able to participate in the third cohort of the project. Third cohort activities will include completing an organizational assessment, beginning year one of capacity building, participating in workshops and peer learning, receiving technical assistance and troubleshooting, and training in nonprofit board and leadership development. The other funders of this local collaboration include the grantee, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, and the Ruth Mott Foundation.
