About this grant
The Southern Environmental Law Center, a leading regional environmental group, works to protect the biodiversity of the Southeast’s freshwater resources at the federal, state, and local levels. With continued support from Mott, the grantee will help design and implement water management policies in five states with an emphasis on promoting water conservation and efficiency measures. The project will also include efforts to slow the push for new reservoirs when they are unnecessary and improve the operation of existing hydropower dams in order to enhance freshwater habitat.
