Integrated Education for a New Learning Day: Professional Development Across Sectors

About this grant

This grant will continue to support Foundations, Inc., and its partners in disseminating the Afterschool Academies to afterschool and education stakeholders. This initiative forged a model of professional development that integrated informal, experiential, and youth development approaches of afterschool with school-based content and skills. The project will specifically promote and support systems that lead to sustainable professional development of staff and leaders across diverse programs and extend core knowledge of effective afterschool education to diverse stakeholders in education and youth development. For hosting and outreach, Foundations, Inc., and their partners — Education Development Center and Community Network for Youth Development — will work with afterschool and school leaders to present at national conferences and meetings.
