About this grant
INESC is a Brazilian research and education organization that promotes citizen empowerment and participation in public policy, human rights protection, and sustainability discussions related to economic and social policy. With this grant increase, INESC will work with the Brazilian network on international financial institutions to broaden discussions on regional integration issues in Latin America. INESC will expand the opportunities for dialogue between non-governmental organizations and parliamentarians; conduct a pilot study among parliamentarians from South America to assess the current status of the debate about regional integration; and organize a workshop during the upcoming South American Summit to be held in Bolivia in November 2006.
